When You Learn Magic Tricks, You Open The Door Into A World Of Happiness And Bliss

By Miles Sunkest

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you saw a magician perform some tricks? Maybe it was at a party, or on a stage down at the community center. Most kids are impressed at least a little bit, and make a decision to somebody learn magic tricks and become as good as this guy up on stage. However, most of us don't follow through on those dreams, and quickly give them up for other things that seem more important at the time.

However, because you are reading this, there is a strong chance that somewhere inside you still have a dream to be able to impress people with your magic. Either up on stage, or at parties with your friends, part of you still remembers how impressed you were with magic, and wants to impress others. I'll give you a couple of quick tips on how to do just that.

There are two basic skills that stop people cold from becoming good street magicians. One of course, is being able to do magic tricks. This is actually the easy part. If you've ever seen a magician reveal how he did a trick, you were likely surprised how easy it was. The actual physical activity required to pull of the trick is not really the magical part. The magical part involves being able to capture and lead their attention. Which brings us to our next skill.

Public speaking. Yes, you read that right. All skilled magicians also have excellent public speaking skills. In order to direct peoples attention, you'll need to develop what's called a "patter," or that mesmerizing speaking that magicians do while performing their tricks. Many magicians simply tell engaging and mesmerizing stories while doing their tricks, so everybody is watching their face, and not their hands.

These skills can obviously be learned. You just need to practice. Clubs, public speaking courses are a great start. Even though you, like most people, are likely deathly afraid of public speaking, it is a skill that can dramatically help you in virtually every aspect of your life. Even if you have no plans of ever doing magic, you should improve our public speaking skills.

These two "simple" skills may seem a bit daunting at first, but when you take the time to realize the powerful and positive effects you can have on people, and how much pleasure you can create, it makes it all worthwhile. The next step is to simply get started. - 30290
